Hello you in readers land, it is a very rainy day in Spa. It looks as if it will rain all day. Hope wherever you are, you can do what you need to.
I don’t think many gardens have been planted yet, maybe a few tomatoes set out.
George and Bev Whitson have their “produce and more” going now with fresh vegetables. Its on the corner of 432 and 106 west. I haven’t gotten to go yet, but am anxious to see what all they have. They usually have a good variety of stuff.
Last week the Relay for Life Survivors supper was at the Methodist Church in Russellville and Sue and James Fuller got to attend. James is definitely a survivor and is doing very well. Sometimes he has quite a bit of problem with his breathing.
I think ebery9one I’ve heard say probably the one Bible verse they learned was John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believith in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” When Stanley was a small child instead of saying begotten son, his word was forgotten son. You know what? So many times that is true. We tend to treat Him as forgotten, right?
I forgot earlier to comment on the article that Chris wrote about WRUS personality Ole Mack Mallory or as he calls himself Big Mack. It was most interesting and she did a great job, as usual. Mack we all love you and appreciate you. Thirty years at the job and still going strong, so keep it up.
Last Saturday night at the home of Lynn and Wayne Joines at Belton was her mom Margie Latham, Gery Joines of Greenville, Fannie Porter of Ohio, her 2 sons Kevin Porter and Keith Porter, both of California. They had a good visit as they don’t get to see the Porters that often.
Last week cousin Marshall Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri was in the hospital with pneumonia, got to go home and fell, of course a broken hip. He is again in the hospital and had surgery on Saturday. The surgery went fine, so maybe in a few more days he can go home again.
Country music lost a well known star this past week and that was George Jones. I always liked to hear him and see him perform. he will definitely be missed.
Got a call Saturday night from our special cousin in Louisville, Sherry Harris. She will be out of school in June and has plans to come down and visit us again. She is a special girl and we love her. We appreciate that she likes to come visit us. We all meet and have a pot-luck meal and enjoy our time together.
Until next time, smile and know God loves you. He died on the cross for you. See ya!
