Howdy, we are having cold mornings, so far no accumulation of snow, which suits me just fine. Hope you are having a good year so far.
Sorry Helen Porter is sick and has had to see her doctor. Maybe she can soon feel better.
And Dick Dickerson’s sis in Nashville is sick and seeing her doctor. Hope she can soon feel better.
Have you been missing “Big Mac?” Well, he isn’t sick, just having a long vacation. He and his mom, Mrs. Marion visited Ed one day in the holiday time in Nashville and Monica was in through the holidays in Russellville and with her dad Ed in Nashville too.
A New Years party at the home of Wayne and Lynn Joines of Belton was enjoyed by the following people, Margie Latham, Jane Silvey, Vicki and Dennis Martin, Ricky and Jeanette Latham and Jared, Sheila and Gerald Heltsley, Christy and Evan Whitis and Reese, Randall and Paulette Samson and Michael and Darrell and Shirley Heltsley, Jerry and Tonya Joines and Elizabeth and Rachel, Teron and Jamie Travis, Drew and Lucas, and Eddie Luttrell. I’m glad they got to enjoy this time together.
Visiting his grandparents Pat and Rozena Stanley and great granny Martine Brown has been Shawn from in Tennessee. They enjoyed having him here.
Visiting with Martine Brown one day recently were Lucy Lockhart, Vivian Arnold, and Carolyn Costellow. They spent the afternoon playing Rook and had a good time.
On Thursday of this past week, driving down from Louisville was a cousin Sherry Harris and others coming in for a visit plus a pot luck lunch, besides me, Hazel, Lasley Johnson, Sue Fuller and Louise Henderson. We all had a good visit and lots to eat. Sherry spent the night with Lasley before heading back home Friday morning.
I lost a very good friend this week and that was Juanita Silvey, she had been as I said a very dear friend and your Dunmor correspondent for quite a few years. Our sympathy to Barry and the girls and their families.
I need some help on this one, is there anyone out here that used to know Laura Ray? I can’t remember Mrs. Ray’s name. They raised a girl, Mildred. Well I had asked recently if anyone knew anything about Mildred. No one did. Well this past week I heard from Mildred, she lives in Tallahassee, Florida, hopes to be in this area this summer and wants to visit. Well, for sure I hope she can make it. I was so glad to hear from her.
Visitors in this week have been Lannie and Judy Jernigan and Kenny and Tammy Cummins from Princeton. As usual, I enjoyed my company.
I enjoyed Dick Dickerson stopping in awhile one day this past week and eating soup with me.
Until next time, have a good week and see ya!
