It is getting closer, so again Merry Christmas. As the song goes it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
A lot of activities are all ready going on. One day last week 11 women from Dunmor Baptist Church went about “doin good.” They visited with Juanita Silvey in the long term facility at Muhlenberg hospital, had pie and ice cream, played Bingo with her and just a good visit. Those going were Mergie Latham, Ilene Baugh, Patty Staples, Patsy Greene, Nora Faske, Sharon Hall, Maritsa Grant, Vernita Audud, Betty Moore, Mildred Dorris and Elwanda Forsythe. I know these ladies enjoyed the visit, and I betcha Juanita did also. Those ladies at the church keep busy, they make beautiful lap throws, they are big and oh so comfortable, as well as beautiful.. I know, as I have one and so does Virginia Hart and we sure do appreciate ours, so again thanks gals, you are appreciated.
Bro. Kinnith and Marilyn Morris of Hopkinsville visited awhile one day last week his sis Martine Brown and also visiting awhile were Pat and Rozena Stanley. Marilyn is just not doing at all well right now, remember them as you pray.
Sorry Jeannie Coursey had to have a procedure done this past week, hope she keeps doing well.
Ada Dorris had a procedure done also this past week in the Medical Center, had to have a stint inserted. She is home and hope she keeps improving nicely.
Friend Nancy Renfro will have gall bladder surgery on the 20th, so will be back home and into regular activities.
Linda Blankinship of Auburn visited awhile one afternoon this past week with cousin Lasley Johnson. He really enjoyed her visit.
The Truthseekers Sunday school class of Elk Lick met Friday night at beautiful Shady Cliff restaurant for our meal and exchange of presents. There were 13 of us there, those being our class with husbands and others also. Lois Ann and Bill Cornelius, Joyce and Kenneth Chapman, Wanda Coursey, Rufus Coursey, Jewell Wayne Johnson, Hester Martin and bless her heart she drove by and picked me up, so I got to go with her, Hazel Fleming, Bro. Art and Mrs. Jane Hatfield and Nelson and Beverly Harris. We all had a good time, that is until me being the clumsy one that I am- phew, knocked my glass of water on myself. I sure got a quick ice water bath, ouch, ouch!
Heard at church this morning that Wanda Coursey is in the local hospital. Hope she is soon feeling better and back at home.
I had a procedure done Tuesday at the local hospital and as yet have not gotten the report on it, hope it is okay.
Again remember Jesus is the reason for the season, give praise and honor, He truly deserves it, after all, He died for you and all.
See ya nest time!
