School is starting! Pictures are flooding Facebook of Children on their first day and Parents are lamenting how fast time seems to be flying.

Time does seem to fly and therefore it should not be wasted. We should strive to squeeze every joy, happiness and excitement, that we can from every minute that we have. Our time should be used wisely.

In 2 Corinthians 6:2(b), Paul wrote, "... I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation." Paul realized that time was flying by and that he was living in a special time of which God's Grace was offered to all that would accept it. You and I are still living in the special time of which God's Grace is available to all. Ephesians 2:8-9 held true in the days of Paul and remains true today. It states, "For it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast."

In 2 Corinthians, Paul was trying to challenge Believers to not only receive the gift of Grace but to also share the gift of Grace. As "Ambassadors for Christ" we will have hardships, troubles and temptations of all kinds. However, regardless of the circumstances in which we live and work, we are constantly given opportunities to share the Grace of God, to tell the story of Jesus and to be a witness of His love and forgiveness.

We do not want to waste the time that we have, for not only is this a special time for sharing -- it is also a time in which the Holy Spirit is working. Christians sharing, combined with the Holy Spirit working, results in lives being touched and changed for Christ. But we need to remember Genesis 6:3 that states "Then the Lord said, "My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years."

So it has been said:

"Life is short, live it.

Love is rare, grab it.

Anger is bad, dump it.

Fear is awful, face it.

Memories are sweet, cherish it." But I would add "Grace is a Gift, Share it!

Don't waste the Grace -- Don't forgo an opportunity -- Don't take time for granted -- "For today is the day of Salvation."
