Jewel R. Davidson, 93, of Cahokia, Ill., born on June 12, 1925, in Penrod, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at his home.

Mr. Davidson was a United States Navy and Army veteran. He retired as CEO of Vocational Training Center in St. Louis and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dupo, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Casaundra Davidson; his parents, Burrough and Orel, nee Matherly Davidson; a sister, Del Tully, and two brothers, Walt, and John Davidson.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Norma Davidson, nee Davidson; his children, Reverend Jack R. (Michelle) Davidson of Los Angeles, Calf., Deborah L. (Ron) Oestricker of Cahokia, Ill., Daniel (Kerry) Davidson of Kimberling, Mo. and Catherine Davidson of Pacific, Mo.; his grandchildren, Ronnie, Rich, Elizabeth, Jared, Noah, Benjamin, Christopher, Melissa, Krystal, Danielle, Nicole, Kari, Caleb, and Paul; and eight earlier.

Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 4 at First Baptist Church in Dupo, Ill. Funeral services were at 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Roger Reid and Reverend Jack Davidson officiating. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
