Ryan Flores celebrates a big play for the Panthers

The Russellville High School football team will be hosting a first-round playoff game tonight at historic Rhea Stadium against Fort Knox.

The Panthers finished the regular season with a 4-6 overall record but were 2-1 in their district to earn the first-round playoff game. Fort Knox was also 4-6 on the year but finished third in its district.

Russellville was led in the regular season on offense by quarterback Jacob Naylor. He had 1,130 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also led the team with 478 rushing yards to go along with his four rushing touchdowns. Edward Barber led the team in TDs with six. He also finished second on the team with 405 rushing yards.

Ryan Flores was the team's leading receiver. He caught 25 balls for 447 yards and four touchdowns. Freshman Lennon Ries had 309 yards on 27 receptions with three touchdowns.

Barber was also the top tackler on defense, finishing the year with 104. Zavius Coleman was second on the squad with 88.

If Russellville wins tonight, the Panthers will play at Campbellsville next week.
