The Panthers and Lady Panthers hosted a district doubleheader on Friday night against Todd County. The ladies took the win by a margin of 32 points. The boys led most of the first half but fell in a close game by only four points.

The Lady Panthers were led by Senior DeShala LaBlanc who scored 19 points in the 59-27 win. A'miyah Collier collected 12 points.

After the end of the first quarter, the score remained close at 14-11 in favor of the Lady Panthers. The Russellville shooters got hot in the second quarter. The home team took a 31-17 lead into the locker room.

The Russellville defense held the Lady Rebels to only two points in the third quarter. Todd County was unable to dig out of the deep hole they found themselves in going into the fourth quarter. The final was 59-27.

The Lady Panthers are now (4-1) on the season.

The Panthers started hot and led Todd County during the first quarter of the boys game. The Rebels were able to outscore the Panthers 24-10 in the second quarter and take the lead at halftime.

Russellville dropped the district game 68-64.

Jacob Naylor hit five 3-pointers in the game and finished with 28 points.

The Panthers will host McLean County tonight at 7:30.

The Lady Panthers host Frederick Fraize to kick off this weekend's Russellville's Food Bank Classic.
