The Russellville Middle School Lady Panthers complete the 2018 season as district champions and earned a 3rd-place finish in the state tournament. The Lady Panthers finish with a record of (22-6.)

The Russellville Lady Panthers and Logan County Lady Cougars each sent middle school teams to the state softball tournament this weekend. The tournament was held in Hopkinsville.

The Lady Panthers finished 3rd in the state. Coach Ryan Davenport and his team beat Christian County, Greenwood, and Owensboro Catholic to get to the final four. Russellville then lost 5-4 to McCracken County and 9-4 to Henderson County in the double-elimination tournament. McCracken County went on to beat Henderson 15-1 in the championship game.

The Lady Panthers won the district tournament on Thursday after a victory over Logan County.
