Paige Vanzant led the Lady Cougars with five RBIs against Glasgow on Friday in an 18-3 slaughter on the road.

Rosie Kerchenski and KJ Page each slugged home runs in the win. Abby Hinton legged out a triple. Sydney Lee, Shelby Gettings, and Vanzant also hit doubles.

Hinton went the distance in the circle. She allowed only three runs and six hits.

Previously, Logan County traveled to Warren East on Thursday for a doubleheader. The Lady Raiders have only lost two games this season and took both games from the Lady Cougars.

In game one, the final was 9-1. The second game finished a little closer at 3-0. Brea Croslin accounted for the only run in the two games with her eighth homer of the season.

Logan County will play a hot Christian County team (26-3-1) on the road tonight.

Coach Ryan Davenport's ladies had a busy weekend, playing five games since Thursday.

Russellville hosted Butler County on Thursday and went eight innings before winning 9-8.

On Friday, an away game at Trinity (Whitesville) resulted in a 9-4 victory.

Saturday featured three games for the Lady Panthers at the Best of the West, which was held at Buchanon Park in Bowling Green.

The team went (1-2) on the day. They beat Taylor County 5-2, but lost to Caldwell County 7-2, and also to South Warren by a score of 19-3.

Russellville will be at home against Edmonson County (13-15) tonight.
