Staff report

The Logan County High School baseball team picked up a 12-4 win over Allen County-Scottsville on Thursday at home, but saw all their weekend games get rained out.

The Cougars are now 16-7 on the year overall. They were scheduled to play at Hopkinsville on Monday night and will host Todd County Central tonight in the final District 13 game of the season. With a win over the Rebels, the Cougars will wrap up at least a share of the District 13 regular season title.

On Thursday night, LCHS will host Butler County.

The Russellville High School baseball team also played on Thursday, losing 16-1 at Edmonson County.

The Panthers were scheduled to host Whitesville Trinity on Monday and will play their final district game of the regular season tonight at home against Franklin-Simpson.

If Franklin-Simpson and Logan County both win tonight, they will share the top spot in the district and will have to flip a coin to see which team gets the top seed in the district tournament. Russellville is already locked into the fourth seed and Todd Central will be the three seed.
