Gram Humphrey makes a play in a recent game at Russellville High School. The Sophomore infielder had a couple of hits in the doubleheader at Butler County on Friday.

All of the 13th District baseball teams have finished playing each other in the regular season. Logan County and Franklin-Simpson finished at (5-1) in district play. A coin flip determined that Logan County would be the number 1 seed in the upcoming district tournament at Franklin. This means that the Cougars and Panthers will get one more Clash of the Cats this season. Russellville went (0-6) in the district to fall into the number 4 spot.

The Cougars beat Butler County 15-1 last Thursday at home. Bradley Taylor had three hits, including two home runs and a double. Taylor finished with four RBIs in the big win. Dylan Penick slammed his first home run since recently returning to the lineup after being injured playing football last season. Koby Wall also had a bomb in the 15-1 win over the Bears.

Jackson Steward got the start and win on the hill. He allowed one run on two hits. Ethan Smock pitched one inning to close out the game.

On Friday, Logan County made the drive to Paducah to face the Blue Tornado. In a close back and forth game, Paducah Tilghman plated two in the bottom of the sixth and won 7-6.

Russellville hit the road on Friday to visit the Butler County Bears. The Panthers saw them for two games on Friday evening. The Bears won the first game 10-2 and the second one 13-8.

Dillon Porter drove in three runs in game two. Gram Humphrey smacked a double.

The Panthers used Jackson Hampton and Gram Humphrey on the mound.

Russellville (2-18) will be at Warren Central (6-15) on Thursday.
