Paige Vanzant will return as a Junior this season for the Lady Cougars.

The high school basketball season is just under a week from the opening tip. The Lady Cougars only lost one Senior from last season and hope to repeat as district champs. The Cougars have a new coach and look to drive deeper into the postseason this year after an early exit last season.

Coach Finley Baird returns as head coach of the Lady Cougars in 2018-2019. Logan County finished at (22-11) last year with a district championship and one win in the regional tournament.

The Lady Cougars will play five Seniors on the court. Carlie Alvis, Blayke Bingham, Halie Borders, Brittany Garrett, and Sarah Beth Hale will play as Seniors for the 2018-2019 season.

Logan County gets started on Monday at Warren East. The first home game will be Nov. 29 against Clarksville Christian.

The Cougars posted a (15-14) record last season and were eliminated early by Franklin-Simpson in the district tournament. John Tinsley will be the new coach this season after the departure of Lonnie Mason.

Logan County has four Seniors on the roster. Third Bell, Kelby Epley, Tommy Krohn, Caden McKinnis, and Reggie Powell will play their last season as Cougars.

The Cougars will host Clarksville Christian Academy on Thursday the 29th to open the season.
