The Logan County Sheriff's Department recently made a pair of arrests -- one for drug charges and another after recovering a stolen lawnmower.

On Sunday, Oct. 28, at 1:33 p.m., Sgt. Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff's Department arrived at 2391 Riggins Road in Adairville in an attempt to locate an individual who had an active warrant.

Upon arriving at the residence, Harvey made contact with Roger Daly Beaty, 52, at the front door and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the residence. After a search, marijuana, methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia were located inside the residence.

As a result of an investigation, Beaty was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Sunday, Sept. 9, Sgt. Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff's Department received a report of a stolen lawnmower in the 4000 block of Highland Lick Road.

The victim said someone had stolen the mower, which was sitting beside the residence, between Sept. 6 and Sept. 9.

The lawn mower was recovered on Tuesday, Oct. 23, in Russellville.

As a result of the investigation, Billy Wayne Lee, 47, of Russellville was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on a charge of receiving stolen property under $10,000.
