Christy Jordan may be new on the scene at Creekwood Place Nursing & Rehab Center but she certainly isn't new to the healthcare industry having served two decades as a registered nurse eventually being promoted to a director of nursing position where she has served the past eight years in Sebree, Ky.

Jordan took over as the administrator at Creekwood in July of this year seeing this as yet another avenue to help others, a mission she says is near and dear to her.

"I love people and I won't just be sitting behind a desk. I want to be out interacting with families and residents. I want to be available for my families here at Creekwood 24-7. They can call me anytime with their needs and concerns," said Jordan.

Jordan believes her experience as a floor nurse as well as administrative positions gives her an insight to better care for those who stay at the Creekwood. She states it is important to have both administrative experiences as well as a background in nursing to better meet the needs of those you care for.

One of the goals Jordan has while at Creekwood is to involve the community. She believes community support is vital in the lives of those who stay there.

"There are residents here who have no family and to get a visit from someone would make their day," said Jordan adding that she would love to see the citizens of Logan County come to visit Creekwood and become a part of what makes it so unique.
