This is Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival week and a plethora of activities are scheduled for the community beginning Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The Methodist Temple will host its annual Taster's Luncheon Tuesday which promises to be a delightful display of local cuisine prepared by many talented cooks. If you haven't already purchased a ticket, you will have to wait until next year. Tickets sold out quickly and a full-house is expected.


The Historic Residential Virtual Walking Tour will be held Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. beginning at the Logan County

Chamber of Commerce office. A Cemetery Tour of Maple Grove Cemetery on 9th Street in Russellville will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. as well as Thursday, Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

 

You won't want to miss the First Baptist Church's Community-wide cookout and fellowship beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday as the oldest Baptist church in Russellville celebrates its 200th anniversary. The church is located on Main Street in Russellville. Everyone is invited to share in the fun.

A Blessing of the Animals and Pet Show & Fair will be held Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m. at the Ag Extension Complex at 255 John Paul Avenue in Russellville. Registration begins at 5 p.m. so get there early if you plan for your pet to be a part.

On Wednesday, Oct. 10 the 4-H will host its fall grill from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Extension Office at 255 John Paul Avenue in Russellville.

Thursday, Oct. 11 will see the Community Health Fair starting at 8:30 a.m. at Southern Heights Legacy Center in Russellville.

If you've ever been interested in the historic properties downtown now is your chance to learn about them as the Historic Business Walking Tour will begin Thursday at the Logan County Chamber of Commerce at 2 p.m.
