Logan County's Lee Dockins completed another successful Special Olympics USA Games last week in Seattle.

She won her first ever gold medal in the all-around of her artistic gymnastics division, despite injuring her knee in practice last Monday. She posted a score of 66.25 to top the podium, finishing two points ahead of silver medalist Kellie O'Donnell of Illinois. Kentucky teammate Danielle Blakeney took the bronze. It is the first all-around gold medal for Dockins who won the silver in both 2006 and 2014.

Dockins also won gold in the uneven bars and in the floor exercise. She finished the USA Games with three gold medals and two silver medals.

The Team Kentucky football team, which includes players from Russellville and Bowling Green, won finished pool play with a perfect 4-0 record and wound up bringing home a bronze medal in the event.
