According to Logan County Sheriff Wallace Whittaker, a human skull has been found in the Auburn area, as well as other human remains.

On Tuesday morning, the Logan County Sheriff's Department, along with the Kentucky State Police and Logan County Search & Rescue, were sent out to a location off Willow Pond Road in Auburn and found the human skull along with other human remains, including veterbrae.

The skull was discovered approximately 40 feet off the roadway by two men who were checking a duck blind.

Coroner Mary Givens said that she will be sending the remains to Madisonville on Wednesday for tests by the state medical examiner.
